Refund Policy

Business and consumer customers

HDD Sondes sells primarily to businesses. The policy below applies to business customers.

If you buy as a consumer (a private individual purchasing outside your trade or profession), nothing in this policy limits your mandatory statutory rights. In particular:

  • Legal guarantee: you may claim for lack of conformity of the goods for at least 2 years from delivery. This applies to new, used and refurbished goods. Our commercial warranty below is offered in addition to these rights. See Your legal guarantee rights.
  • Right of withdrawal: for online and distance purchases you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason. Contact info@hddsondes.eu. We will refund the payment, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving your notice, but may withhold the refund until the goods are returned. You bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
  • The "no refunds" and "non-returnable" provisions below do not apply to consumers to the extent they conflict with mandatory consumer law.

HDD solutions OÜ, hereinafter referred to as “HDD Sondes”, provides a limited commercial warranty, calculated from the date of delivery: 100 days on underground sondes (transmitters), hereinafter referred to as “sondes”, and 6 months on used locators and remote displays.

Terms

  • Any equipment found to be defective within the warranty period will be repaired and/or exchanged at the discretion of HDD Sondes.
  • No monetary refunds will be issued for sonde products.
  • In certain cases, store credit may be issued toward a future purchase.
  • Used equipment, special orders, and custom-fabricated items cannot be returned or refunded.
  • The warranty does not cover normal wear, battery depletion, or damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper storage, unauthorized repair or modification, or operation under adverse conditions.

Used and Refurbished Equipment

Used and refurbished equipment has been previously used and may show normal cosmetic wear. Service life depends on usage intensity, operating conditions, temperature, mechanical load and handling. Normal wear, battery depletion and damage caused by misuse or accidents are not product defects. Any known material issues are stated in the individual product description.

Customer Responsibilities

The Customer shall:

  • pay for return shipping unless HDD Sondes has explicitly authorized in writing that return shipping will be covered by HDD Sondes;
  • bear all shipping costs and the risk of loss or damage during return shipment;
  • use reputable shipping carriers and provide tracking, insurance, and delivery confirmation for all returned items.

Return Shipment Back to the Customer

Once the defective item has been repaired or replaced, it will be shipped back to the Customer using ground shipping or another standard delivery method, subject to this policy.
